Kerry is a high school special education English teacher who holds a Master’s degree in Education from SUNY New Paltz. She has been an educator for over 25 years with a passion for teaching writing and enjoying all forms of literature. She loves to hear the groans when her students learn that they are going to be reading “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, and delights in their reactions when they discover that they enjoyed reading the play. Kerry is also a self-identified “grammar Nazi” and cringes when she sees a misplaced modifier or a semicolon used under the wrong circumstances (just ask her friends).
Kerry adores all kinds of literature, attending movies, concerts, and plays, and enjoys traveling whenever she can. She has three grown daughters, so Kerry is currently suffering a nasty case of empty-nester syndrome. However, all three girls seem to enjoy her company, so family time is always a riot, especially when meals are involved (we love our food)! Thanks to MakeFoodSafe.com, Kerry is now known to her family as “Ms. Food Safety.”
